We had an excellent meeting last week and are pleased to report that ticket sales for both the Cinema Night (this Friday) and the Quiz and Curry Night (Wednesday 18th March) are looking healthy, but there are plenty of tickets left so please see your Class Rep or CHASA Committee member if you wish to buy one.
During the meeting, the committee and parents present voted in favour of using CHASA funds to buy a new projector for Class 4 and three new cameras for use throughout the school. We also agreed to provide Netball Posts for the playground. In addition, an exciting enrichment event for the whole school will take place on Monday 20th April when a company called Science Boffins will inspire and entertain pupils in the mysteries of Science. CHASA have funded the day so we hope the children will get a lot out of it.
Our Year 3 Cross Country whizz, Evie Brabbs, has entered the Run or Dye event at Castle Howard on 1st August. Evie has kindly put forward CHASA as the charity she is running to raise money for and we are really proud of her for doing this. If any other pupils feel like joining her we would be delighted.
As the Summer Term approaches, there is only one event to focus on – The Summer Fair – this will take place on Saturday 13th June, so please get the date in your diaries now. More information will follow, but this will be the main topic of discussion at the next CHASA meeting to be held on Tuesday 21st April at 7.30pm in the School Hall. Please could as many Class Reps try to make this meeting as possible, so we can ensure that this year’s fair is brilliant.
Thank you again for your support
