There are lots of services during the holidays. All are welcome to all services, but I’ve tried to indicate which services are most likely to help children understand the story.
Palm Sunday – 9th April
The Donkey Service (with real donkey) is at Carlton Husthwaite. Meet at the village hall at 10.15am, or the church at 10.30am. This is always a very popular service with children.
There are also services with a dramatised Gospel at Coxwold at 9am and Crayke at 10.30am.
Maundy Thursday – 13th April
7.30pm at Crayke: Holy Communion with washing of feet
Good Friday – 14th April
10.30am at Brandsby – A quiet service with readings and prayers. Younger children may find the silence quite challenging.
Easter Day – 16th April
All our Easter Day services will be aimed at a mixed age-group
9am Family Communion at Yearsley
10.30am Family Communion at Brandsby
10.30am Easter Celebration Service – short, informal, joyful!
6.30pm Holy Communion at Crayke
Colourful Sunday – 23rd April
10.30am at Brandsby
A big celebration to show that Easter is not just one day. We will have a choir, some drama and a bring and share lunch afterwards. Wear your most colourful clothes.
Wishing you all a very Happy Easter.
