Dear Parents/Carers
World Book Day is Thursday 6th March and this year, we are celebrating ‘Wonderful Words.’ Our reading ambassadors invite everyone to dress up as an interesting or unusual word – ideally one that they have come across in a fiction, non-fiction or poetry book, which children are also welcome to bring in (see photos below for some inspiration!).
We will have a ‘Wonderful Words Parade’ and explore the meaning of each other’s words, so please aim for ambitious vocabulary!
If there is anyone who would prefer not to dress up, that is of course absolutely fine but we would love it if everyone can be ready to share a ‘Wonderful Word!’
