I have strong ties to the local area, having grown up here and continued to live here. I have two children, both Crayke Primary pupils; from 2016 and since 2022. I enjoy being part of the local church community and since 2021 have served on the Crayke School governing board.
I have over 20 years experience as a Chartered Building Surveyor and Historic Buildings consultant. I also co-founded and ran an agricultural manufacturing business with my husband for 10 years. My relevant experience includes business operation, finance and strategy, construction projects and health and safety / risk management.
I have worked with public, private and third sector clients, mainly in Yorkshire, assessing property and managing projects across rural, urban, occupied and derelict property. From roofless and dangerous to grand country houses, churches, schools, a light house, a convent and much beside, seeing these varied environments and their communities makes me excited for what our next generations will experience and do in their lifetimes.
I see the importance of our school’s Christian distinctiveness to guide and ground us in our fast paced world. To see each child shine bright and develop their confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning is inspiring.
