Return to school

Good afternoon,

The staff team met today to review our policies and procedures to ensure that we remain as Covid secure as we possibly can be, especially in relation to the new strain which transmits more easily.

We will continue to emphasise the importance of hand washing and maintaining distance between bubbles wherever possible.

Staff will be wearing face coverings when serving food, in the corridors and when they move around school.  These may be in the form of masks or visors.  Staff may be wearing face coverings when outside on duty.  You may wish to discuss this with your child so that they are prepared for these changes.

Please remember to wear a face covering at drop off and collection and only one adult to come onto site for each family. This minimises the number of people who are in contact with each other.   As this new variant appears to transmit more easily, maintaining a 2m distance and adhering to the timings of your designated bubble is now more important than ever.

As we await further announcements from both the Local Authority and the government, please be assured that we are committed to maintaining that Crayke is as safe a place as it possibly can be.  Your support in this is very much appreciated.

With best wishes,

Judi Jackson
