Wow – what a difference a week makes. It has been unbelievable to see how quickly the children have responded with the ‘speed’ times tables challenge. We have been testing each other, testing individuals and I am impressed…….but not complacent!
SO this week, Y3 and Y4 have been given the challenge
2s, 5s, and 10s to be answered ‘quicker than a click’ and up to 12 times each times table.
Spellings this week
Group a – have a number of words with the phoneme ie, igh, or i_e. These need to be learned. Also the children are to choose 4 and write ‘interesting sentences to include connectives.
Group b – spellings are all homophones (words that sound the same but have different meaning and spelling). All words to be learned in context of meaning and 6 to be chosen and put into interesting sentences to include connectives.
SUMDOG – x5 per week for at least 10mins. The children are loving this!
