I would like to welcome the students and staff back for the new academic year. As you will already be aware, we have two new members of staff – Miss Lawrie who will be teaching in Class 2 and Mrs. Rayner in Class 3 – and we would like to welcome them to our staff. I hope that you have all had a restful and enjoyable holiday and are looking forward to another school year, which I am sure will be a successful and exciting one for all.
I would like to inform parents and carers that unfortunately Mrs. Manfield will not be teaching in school until at the earliest the second week in October. To ensure continuity for the children, we have arranged for Mrs. Zoe Cahill (an experienced teacher) to work in Class 3 on a Wednesday afternoon, and all day Thursday and Friday until Mrs. Manfield returns to school.
As I am sure many of you will notice when you pick your children up from school, we are currently in the process of having new play equipment fitted. For the children’s health and safety, the area has been cordoned off and during the fitting process the children will not use the bottom playground. We anticipate that the equipment will be available for the children to use in approximately two weeks time. This is taking into account both fitting and the necessary safety checks.
