I am writing to inform you about the traffic light behaviour system that we use in Class 2. This system uses a visual colour code because of the age of the children in Class 2 and is the same as the behaviour systems in Classes 3 and 4, where verbal warnings are given instead of the visual system.
All children start the day on green. If a child’s behaviour doesn’t follow the school’s Behaviour Charter, they will receive a warning. If the child has to be spoken to again, they move their name to amber and will miss 5 minutes of playtime.
If this behaviour still continues, they will move their name to red and parents will be informed at the end of the day.
All names move back to green for the start of the next day.
