Following the recent drop in temperatures the winter is upon us yet again and we all need to be prepared for the possibility of snow and ice. We will of course make every effort to keep the school open throughout the winter but in severe circumstances it may be necessary to close the school to ensure the health and safety of children and staff – bearing in mind several members of staff need to travel long distances to reach school.
In the event of a very heavy snow fall or hazards which may lead to a school closure, we will of course try and let parents know as soon as possible. Please listen out for information on Radio York/Minster FM; in addition a post will be put on the website giving details. Hopefully this will not be necessary!
Could parents/carers also ensure that their child/children always have a coat with them – thank you.
