We thought some of you might be interested in entering the competition below. There is a chance to win a Santa Cruise Experience with City Cruises York!
York Mumbler and City Cruises have joined forces to bring you their first ever ‘Children’s Poetry Competition’. Here is what you need to know……
· The theme for your poem is ‘Rivers’. It is open to your interpretation and could include ideas about water birds, fish, boats, riverside wildlife or anything else you can think of!
· There are two categories ‘under 8 year olds’ and ‘8 to 11 year olds’.
· Your poem must be handwritten, illustrated and no more than one side of A4.
· Once your poem is finished, take a picture of it and email to emily@mumbler.co.uk Remember to give your name and age to show which category you will fall in to.
· The deadline for your entry is Friday 15th May.
1st Prize – Santa Experience tickets for 2 adults and 2 children for the 28th or 29th November 2020 for each category.
2nd Prize – One hour red boat hire for each category. To be used in 2020 or 2021.
There will also be some family tickets for the daytime York City Cruises for any ‘highly commended’ entries.
