Supporting school through books

At a time when local, independent businesses need support now more than ever, I am delighted to inform you that The Blue House Bookshop in York have been able to offer us a transfer of our successful Amazon wishlist, to their own online wishlist service. Not only does this mean that we are able to support an independent children’s bookshop, but they have kindly offered to support us in return, giving us 15% of the RRP of every book purchased, back as funds to spend as a school on more books for the children.
Although the original wishlist has been received so positively (especially in the summer term,) we are still in need of many more books to supplement our curriculum and give the children access to the best quality, up to date texts. We appreciate that times are hard and many of you have already purchased books for school. If you are able to please share the updated link with the wider school community, we would be hugely grateful. If anyone is able to, giving Crayke the gift of a book for Christmas would mean that children for years to come can enjoy these stunning books across the school.
Please see the school newsletter for details of our virtual book fair from Usborne, which is running until Friday 4th December.
Many thanks for your wonderful continued support in these challenging times,
Louise Rayner
English Subject Leader
