Following the news announcement just now, it is with a very heavy heart that we must inform you that school will be closed to the majority of pupils with immediate effect.
As we understand it, children of keyworkers are eligible to attend school as they were during the previous lockdown. However would ask that, unless it is absolutely essential, you keep your children at home tomorrow to enable school staff to have some time to adequately respond and prepare in the light of this unexpected and short notice announcement.
If you have absolutely no alternative but to send your child to school tomorrow, and you are a keyworker, please contact me immediately on headteacher@crayke.n-yorks.sch.uk so that we can make the necessary arrangements.
Remote learning will begin later this week.
We will keep in touch and we will get through this, together.
