Covid-19 Update 25 January 2022

Dear Parents/Carers
As you may be aware, we are currently experiencing a rapidly rising number of positive Covid cases within our school community both amongst pupils and staff.  We are making every best endeavour to keep everyone as safe as possible.
We continue to maintain additional hygiene measures in school including regular handwashing and an additional daily clean of high touch areas.  We have maintained separate entrance and exits for each class.
Some necessary additional precautions have been put in place on a temporary basis to support our aim to keep school open and to reduce the spread of the virus.  This includes the separating of groups of children from each other at playtime and lunchtime in a bid to reduce transmission between classes.  Collective Worship will not be taking place in the hall as a whole school for the moment.
We would very much appreciate your continued vigilance and support at this challenging time.
  • If your child is unwell, please keep them at home and obtain a PCR test.
  • If you have received a Warn and Inform letter (by email, from school) please conduct daily lateral flow tests for 7 days.
  • If anyone in your household tests positive, please inform us of this and please conduct daily lateral flow tests on your child/ren for 7 days.
  • If you receive a call from school to advise that your child is unwell, please make arrangements to collect them as soon as possible.
Also, please note that the office is extremely busy at the moment as we are experiencing a high volume of calls and emails.  It may take a little longer than usual to get back to you.
Thank you.
