I work as a youth and children’s worker for four groups of local churches including the Byland Churches Group, of which Crayke is a part. It is through this role that I joined the governing body in September 2022, as one of the foundation governors (church representatives). I have recently renewed my term of office as well as stepping up to take on the role of Chair of the governing body.
It has been a privilege to get to know the school and to work with staff and other governors over the last few years and I look forward to continuing to serve the whole school community. In my spare time I love books, reading and theatre, and can sometimes even be seen treading the boards myself at Helmsley Arts’ Centre! I also enjoy being in the hills and by the sea – especially in Yorkshire and Scotland.
