Back to School Information

Good afternoon,

I hope that you have all had a wonderful summer break and are just about ready to return to the routine of school term life!

Please read the following information carefully ahead of our return to school on Tuesday 5 September.  This will be especially useful for our new families, but is also relevant for existing families.

School Day

A reminder that the gates will open for all children at 8:50am each morning and will close at 9:00am. Please be on time.

The school day ends at 3:30pm.  Please can we request that parents in Apple class come into the area just outside Mrs Helfferich’s classroom and parents of children in Beech class wait nearer the front of the gates – it can be hard for little ones to identify their carers in a sea of adults!

A reminder to please park at the Sports Hall and walk up to school. The school layby should NOT be used for dropping off or collecting unless by prior agreement with Mrs Jackson. This is in the interests of the safety of everyone.

Staffing

We are pleased to welcome Mrs Chandler back following her surgery to continue her phased return.  Mrs Chandler will be teaching Holly class on an increasing basis each week over the next few weeks. When she is not teaching the class, Miss Walker will be covering to ensure consistency for the children.

Mrs Shirley will sadly not be returning to school for the Autumn term, but we are looking forward to her coming back after Christmas. We are in the process of organising cover for Mrs Shirley.

Uniform Expectations

We are proud of the high standards of presentation from the vast majority of our pupils. Please support this by not allowing your children to come into school wearing nail varnish, by ensuring that long hair is tied back and that your child is wearing the correct uniform and shoes. All items of clothing should be named and clean. Items with logos or motifs are not permitted.

PE Kits

Children in Apple class should wear uniform every day and will change into their PE kits for their PE sessions on the relevant days.

Children in Beech, Holly and Oak should come into school wearing their PE kits on the following days ONLY. School uniform should be worn on other days. Please note that hoodies are classed as part of the PE kit.

On arrival at the main entrance, please use the allocated doorbell, NOT the school entry pad system.  This will alert club staff to your presence and they will come to meet you at the front door.
