A good news post – Mrs Rayner is a winner!

**Warning** – There’ll be no mention of the dreaded “C” in this post – hurrah !

Today we received a very exciting parcel from 16 different authors containing incredible books for Key Stage 2. Two of which are advance copies not even available in the shops, yet!
On World Book Day, I entered an online competition for the school and we won! Most of the books are signed and dedicated especially to our school, along with an incredible amount of personal letters and messages from authors encouraging the children to have a love of writing stories as well as reading them!
It’s safe to say that these books brought a lot of joy to Class 3 and 4, who were amazed at the generosity from these authors. Children in Class 4 who were in today had the opportunity to borrow one of these books until we are fully re-open. We just ask that they take care of them as they will be a wonderful resource to have in school for everyone to enjoy!
I hope that all of the children enjoy reading books that they love and enjoy over the coming weeks. As one of the authors (Hannah Tooke) said… “With a book in your hand, you have magic at your fingertips.”
Happy reading,
Mrs Louise Rayner
English co-ordinator

Cohen was so excited about Mrs Rayner’s win. He ditched the book he was already reading so that he could start the book he’d been sent home with and eagerly reading every day! Thankyou x
