We’ve arrived back safe and sound from two FABULOUS days at Carlton Lodge and I am so grateful to all the pupils for being wonderful, to Mrs Chandler and Mrs Shirley for their brilliant support and to the parents for trusting us to take care of their children on an off site educational visit. I cannot underestimate just how amazing it feels to have been able to do something close to normality again and to be able to give the children an experience which Mrs Chandler rightly refers to as a “rite of passage.”
Photos from the visit will be shared after the half term holiday but I couldn’t resist sharing with you this photo of the Year 6 pupils who received their leavers’ hoodies today. What a great bunch they are and you can see how proud they are to wear their jumpers (in spite of the exhaustion from two full on days of outdoor activities!). They are welcome to wear them in lieu of their school jumpers after the holidays. Thank you so much to Mrs Taylor for organising the hoodies – they look fabulous!
